After six months of preparation for La Magie, we reached a conclusion that was somewhat different from the original idea. However, the very first idea, the one to spread love to everyone, still remains. It is ingrained in the name, La Magie, our philosophy has always been to share love and magic, and for all those in close proximity have the opportunity to be a part of this.
In addition to being affordable, we will create dishes people can eat over and over again; in the same way people habitually eat egg sandwiches or pork buns, so too they can eat our food on a daily basistoo. I also want to share my knowledge of French food, to infuse my experience and passion into our daily offerings.
The concept of spreading love and warmth toeveryone comes from an idea of my sister and brother, but we are still working on the details. After many debates and arguments, an idea popped into my head, leaving me unable to sleep that night, dreaming about recipes and thinking things over…
The next morning I made the dish and presented it to my whole family. After tasting it, in unison they agreed that: this is the one. It was a typical moment in the type of magic that guided this whole process.
La Magie, as the name implies, has a special energy that directs the course of events in thisunique place. La Magie was the perfect name for a dessert shop, providing treats everyone could have access to, time and time again. And I have created eight flavours, so everyone can have a different flavour every day.
